¡Hola! Soy Gaston, un viajero entusiasta de Argentina que está recorriendo Australia con una visa Working Holiday. Después de miles de kilómetros como mochilero, esta vez viajo con maleta, pero con la misma pasión por descubrir nuevos horizontes.

Soy buzo comercial, especializado en trabajos en plataformas offshore en Tierra del Fuego, una región tan extrema como fascinante. Mi trabajo me ha llevado a explorar las profundidades del mar, enfrentar condiciones desafiantes y desarrollar una conexión profunda con el mundo submarino. Todo lo relacionado con la vida marina me apasiona: el océano, sus criaturas, sus misterios y su inmensidad.

Además, me encanta el trekking, el senderismo, la pesca, la música, el arte y la cultura en todas sus formas. Tengo un interés amateur por la psicología, que me ha ayudado a conectar mejor con las personas y enriquecer mis experiencias de viaje. No soy psicólogo profesional, pero disfruto aprendiendo y reflexionando sobre el comportamiento humano.

Soy muy sociable, curioso y abierto a compartir experiencias con gente de diferentes culturas. Este viaje representa para mí un proceso de crecimiento personal y profesional. Aunque mi inglés es básico, estoy comprometido a aprenderlo lo antes posible, ya que me gustaría estudiar algo aquí en el futuro.

Hi! I'm Gaston, an enthusiastic traveler from Argentina currently exploring Australia on a Working Holiday visa. After thousands of kilometers backpacking, this time I’m traveling with a suitcase—but with the same passion for discovering new horizons.

I'm a commercial diver, specialized in offshore platform work in Tierra del Fuego—a region as extreme as it is fascinating. My job has taken me deep into the ocean, facing challenging conditions and forging a profound connection with the underwater world. Everything related to marine life captivates me: the sea, its creatures, its mysteries, and its vastness.

I also love trekking, hiking, fishing, music, art, and culture in all its forms. I have an amateur interest in psychology, which helps me connect with people and enrich my travel experiences. I'm not a professional psychologist, but I enjoy learning and reflecting on human behavior.

Pero si tengo que elegir una vivencia que me dejó sin aliento, fue bucear en pleno invierno en las aguas gélidas de Tierra del Fuego, a 50 metros de profundidad, desde un barco de mantenimiento de plataformas offshore.
Ahí abajo, el mundo se transforma: es extraño, surrealista, silencioso… como si estuvieras flotando en otro planeta.
El frío cortaba la piel, la inmensidad te hacía sentir diminuto, y sin embargo, nunca me sentí tan vivo.

Life is an incredible experience. Every day is a gift.
But if I had to choose one moment that truly took my breath away, it would be diving in the freezing waters of Tierra del Fuego during winter, 50 meters deep, from an offshore platform maintenance vessel.
Down there, the world changes completely—it's strange, surreal, silent… like floating on another planet.
The cold pierced my skin, the vastness made me feel tiny, and yet I’ve never felt more alive.
