My name is Matej and I’m 36 years old. I’m from East Slovakia and I’ve been living in the UK for more than 5 years now.
I’m one of three brothers… then my parents decided to stop!
I always wanted to learn English and live abroad, be independent and experience different cultures and lifestyles.
It’s never too late!
In my 30’s, I finally made the leap!
I moved to a small town in Somerset called Bridgwater. It’s in the south-west of England.
The town is situated just 40 minutes from Bristol by car.
Bristol airport has given me the opportunity to travel much more conveniently than ever before.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

The reason I decided to register with Couchsurfing is that I like the idea of making new friends while you travel.
I’ve been thinking about the best way to meet new people, practice languages, explore foreign location sites with locals and then I remembered hearing about couchsurfing from my friend.
So, I said to myself, why not? The project’s idea is to know and help each other and I’d like to be part of it.

Still a work in progress, but… I moved a snail from the pavement to the grass so it didn’t get crushed by me or any other human being.
