About Me
Hey there! I’m Catalina (@tecachai_), a 26 year old journalist from Chile, currently living in Berlin. Before moving to Europe, I backpacked around the continent for three months using Couchsurfing🥰 and I met some of the most amazing people that way.
I’m easygoing, curious, and always up for deep convos or spontaneous adventures. I don’t drink, but I’m always down for a good coffee or a long walk through the city (hopefully both). I’m passionate about stories📝 listening to them, telling them, and finding them in the most unexpected places.
I love creating content, whether it’s writing, making videos, taking photos, creating collages, or anything else that sparks my creativity. If we share any of these interests, I’d love to collaborate or just share some of the things we’ve created! 🎥📸🖋️
I love connecting with people from different backgrounds and believe the best part of traveling is the people you meet along the way. So if we cross paths, I hope we can share some laughs, stories, and maybe even a piece of home! Wherever that may be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The first time I traveled through Europe, I did it with a backpack and a Couchsurfing account, and it ended up being one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. I met kind, generous people who showed me their cities through local eyes, and it completely changed the way I travel.
Now, I’m lucky enough to be doing a similar route again, but this time with two of my closest friends. I want to show them all the beautiful places I fell in love with, but more than that, I want them to feel the magic of connecting with locals, just like I did. That’s why we’re here, to meet new people, share stories, and maybe create some unforgettable memories together

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Couchsurfing my way through cities, getting lost in places I couldn’t pronounce, and meeting people who felt like old friends after just one night of sharing stories. It changed the way I see the world (and myself)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Spanish (or Chilean slang if you’re feeling bold😋), share stories from my travels or my life as a (unemployed hahah) journalist, and maybe show you how to dance a little reggaetón! no promises on skill, just good vibes!
I’m always eager to learn about new cultures, ways of living, and people’s personal philosophies. I love hearing what makes others feel alive and write about it!
And I’ll always share a good conversation, a listening ear, and maybe even a homemade Chilean snack if we’re feeling ambitious!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We’re three close friends from Chile, traveling together with open hearts and curious minds. We love deep talks, cultural exchange, and just enjoying the little things — like a walk through the city, cooking together, or listening to music from different corners of the world.
We can share stories from our country, help you practice Spanish (with some Chilean flavor), and even cook a homemade Chilean meal if you’re up for it! We’re respectful, clean, and always grateful to be welcomed into someone’s home.
More than anything, we’d love to share good vibes, meaningful conversations, and a little piece of our world with you.
