“I’m just a Finn. “ is what an average Finnish person would say. But I’m not so here we go.
I’m more or less regular, maybe just a tab more talkative than most, Finn. I enjoy outdoors but do love the attractions within cities. I was raised up in the countryside in the middle of nowhere, since most of Finland is in the middle of nowhere, and have lived there up until high school when I moved in my own to the city. Since then I’ve been used to taking care of myself and dealing with everyday life independently. I’ve graduated for International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme with Bilingual Diploma in 2018.

I enjoy horseback riding, particularly western style. I also go jogging occasionally. Hiking is something I like but have only a few chances of doing it with my mainly busy schedule.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m in Couchsurfing firstly because I’m going on a vacation with a really good friend of mine and we’re looking for something different than just hotels and tourist sights. We want the real thing. I’ve lived in the US and I can only say that I loved it.
So for this upcoming trip, I want us to do amazing things, meet the real people and create beautiful memories with the people we’ll be staying with.

Also after this year, I’m planning on giving this thing a try myself so I want to get first hand experience with Couchsurfing. I really believe that I’ll love this after experiencing it myself first.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m into older music starting from the 50’s all the way up till late 90’s. I’m a sworn Rock’N’Roller and will always be one, like it or not. I’m in love with classic rock but anything from blues, jazz, rockabilly and metal will do just fine. The sub genres are endless and the space here is limited so I will not list all my preferred music here :)

Movies then. In the IMDB page I have about 1,500 listed seen movies and tv-series, if that tells you anything. So basically on my days off (and at night when I’m “sleeping”) I’ll be watching movies and shows, I’m a night owl anyhow. So I’m a great company when you can’t sleep and want company. I love classic films, westerns, action and anything with Clint Eastwood in it. Of course I do have internal battle btw Marvel and DC within me but I just cannot decide the winner.

Books. All I have to say is Stephen King... Stephen King.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did an exchange year in the US when I was 16. I believe that when you have a change in life, you should take it. That’s what I did when a change to do an exchange year occurred.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m a proud Finn. So if there’s anything you want to hear about Finland the I’m your girl to do so. I love sharing experiences and stories of Finland and if you want to hear it don’t be hesitant to ask.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I do play guitar so if you want to heard some basic tunes i would be honored to share this, not yet so pro, skill that I have.
Also, I’m in love with sharing some traditions and food of my own country with the hosts. Especially the chocolate. If there’s one thing ya Finns can do, then I’ll just say it: candy! I’ll be delighted to share chocolate and some other small treats from Finland with you.
