Hi, my name is Cem. I am a 3rd year university student in Molecular Biology & Genetic major at Bilkent University, Turkey. Currently I am planning my trip to Munich between June and July for my summer internship at TUM.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I love travel, share moments and listen to amazing stories that I might hear from new people that I would meet on the road. I believe one can further enhance themselves by seeing a lot, listening a lot and getting to know new peoples frequently. Couch-surfing is the best place to achieve all these.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen all kinds of music so it is hard for me to describe my music taste :p. But for books I love science fiction (Dune is my latest favourite) and I am currently go for the philosophy (Plato, Nietzsche, Foucault) even I got some hard time to grasp the concepts sometimes. I also like to read about history so much. I love reading Albert Camus and some Turkish writers like Ferit Edgü (who I can talk about for hours). My movie taste also varies but it range from some nerdy stuff (Star Wars etc.) to historal movies.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would definitely like to learn the culture of the host and learn more about their thoughts, views and their country. I also would be very happy to learn about their language.

I can teach and give some insights about my culture and language if one would like to learn. I love history so I can talk about it for hours.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of popular science topics or more in depth talks about science (to the limit of grasp on matter). I can share my culture to a full extend.
