Hi there, my name is Giresh! I am from sunny Singapore but currently studying Law in the UK! I love to meet new people from different countries and learn more about their cultures by interacting with them! This will be my first time solo travelling and I am really looking forward to this new experience! I have not Couchsurfed before, hence the lack of references, but I am super keen to meet fellow travellers and hosts!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I feel that Couchsurfing is a wonderful avenue to experience travel at its purest form and to explore new cultures! To me Couchsurfing is more than merely providing accommodation for travellers but an opportunity to meet and interact with people from all over the world at a deeper level and to share thoughts, values and life-experiences with one another.

Interests

I love to play football and have been playing since I was 7 and will easily spend hours talking about it! I’m also a very active person and find joy in most forms of exercise or sport!
I do like to chill out and relax with a good book or show too so I can definitely vibe with that too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did 2 years of compulsory military enlistment in Singapore and the experience taught me me so much that I could have never learnt elsewhere.

I also backpacked to the 2018 World Cup in Russia which was an incredible eye-opener!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Although I have only lived in two different places, I have travelled a fair bit and, through my overseas studies, have met people from many different cultures which has given me different viewpoints on a wide variety of issues and affairs in the world. I hope to be able to share these with the people I meet as well to learn more from my hosts as well.
