About Me

Hi, I’m Rauf, a travel blogger (you can find me on Instagram: @raufism).

Traveling is my way of experiencing the world – discovering new places, trying different foods, meeting people, and embracing new adventures.
I have been 35 countries for now.

I enjoy connecting with others and always aim to keep things positive. You’ll usually catch me with a smile!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to meet with new people, to talk with them ,exchange stories etc.
Couchsurfing offers great opportunity in this way.

Interests

I might not have the best singing voice, but I still enjoy singing!

I love watching movies and TV series and could talk about them for hours. Books are also something I’m really interested in—they’re a great way to unwind and learn.

When it comes to activities, I enjoy bowling, soccer, ping-pong, billiards, puzzles, and, of course, traveling. There’s always something exciting to do!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music changes from time to time, but I usually enjoy energetic songs. Some of my favorite artists include Major Lazer, Cardi B, The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Anne-Marie, David Guetta, Imagine Dragons, and Dua Lipa.

When it comes to books, I’m open to all genres. A couple of my favorites are Animal Farm by George Orwell and And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie.

I’ve watched more than 80 TV series so far. Some standouts are Game of Thrones, La Casa de Papel, Black Mirror, How I Met Your Mother, and The Big Bang Theory.

For movies, I’m drawn to fantastic, thriller, mystical, and adventure genres. My favorites include Marvel films, The Shawshank Redemption, Inception, The Invisible Guest, Se7en, Interstellar, SAW, and the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most incredible things I’ve ever done is skydiving in Dubai. Soaring through the sky with the iconic Palm Jumeirah beneath me was an experience like
no other. The adrenaline, the breathtaking views, and the sheer thrill of the moment made it unforgettable. It’s one of those memories that stays with you forever and reminds you how exciting life can be when you step out of your comfort zone.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting interesting people and exchanging ideas, cultures, and perspectives. It’s one of the best ways to broaden your horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world.

Learning about how people live in different countries and what’s happening around the globe gives you the chance to compare, reflect, and see what can be improved.

I also enjoy sharing travel stories and introducing others to my city while learning from those who are just as passionate about sharing their own knowledge. It’s a great way to connect and grow together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m happy to give you a warm welcome and help plan your trip to Baku!

I can cook some traditional dishes for you to try, recommend fascinating resources and scientific books, and even suggest unique spots to explore.

If you’re up for it, we can watch some great films together or just spend time sharing interesting and funny stories. It’s all about making your experience memorable!
