I love to understand the "why?".

Say, for example, you know about photography. "What makes a picture better and why?" and then "How could this be achieved?" would be my questions, but rather out of curiosity for the ideas and observations behind the answers, than because I'd like to take an awesome picture. I am more driven by the desire to understand that the desire to obtain a result.

Other than that I am a half-Spanish, half-German lindyhop-dancing mathematician who loves to share how simple seemingly complicated things like math and dancing can be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had known the concept for a long time, both my brother and my boyfriend have hosted couchsurfers when we shared an apartment and I thought it's time I join, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not a specific story, but a general kind of "experiences" I enjoy:

The look in a student's eyes the moment something you taught started making sense - because it clicked in their brains and/or body - be it in math or dancing always gives me a fuzzy feeling of excitement.

Experiencing how deep and rich a conversation with a complete stranger or seemingly different person can be. (Of course, many experiences, to the contrary, too, but we are talking about the good ones here)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you math and LindyHop and would love to share any of it! Although, admittedly, LindyHop lends itself much better for sharing than math...

I love to share my joy in dancing, so I always enjoy learning other dances and discover the differences and similarities in leading/following principles.

Obviously, happy to serve as a practice buddy for my primary languages Spanish and German.

And always interested in sharing and hearing just thoughts on whatever keeps roaming through your mind.

I would love to learn to code. Something tells me I would love it. But somehow, despite the widespread availability of online classes, I haven't managed to start..

Well, all of the above.

I addition, I'm a great help in the kitchen, although I rarely dare to cook myself out of fear of the result not being up to someone's standards. But I do enjoy helping with cooking and thereby learning.

I'm a pretty good listener, although you will eventually also hear my thoughts on what you tell me.
And I can be rather good at analyzing a situation - strategically or emotionally.
