I was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in San Jose, California. My parents are from Phillippines. I am 6'2" (which is very uncommon for my ethnic background). I am very much a people person. I love kids, and animals as well. In fact, I am curently am a Proud Professional Uncle to 7 wonderful nieces and nephews. I have no kids of my own (that I know of, hahaha) and am not married. I really enjoy meeting and getting to know people and seeing their world from their eyes. I have many MANY interests. I am involved in multiple sports. I play/coach volleyball (indoor, beach, & grass), swim, bike (road & mountain), rock climb, snow ski, snow board, SCUBA dive, skin dive, golf, racquetball, archery, martial arts, raquetball, bowling, play pool, darts, archary, to name a few. I really enjoy cooking with others, camping, electric skateboarding, watching movies, and shopping. I play poker on occation at casino's and home & private games.

The reason why I'll be Couchsurfing on my travels is I think this is an AWESOME way to meet new welcoming people in a new town that I'm visiting.It is also a great way to pick the brain of the host on the area they live; where to eat, what to do, places to see, etc. Since the host is local, they may have a different perspective then what we read on travel books.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Learned to speak Tagalog just by listening to my parents communicate. I sew. Hiked up Half Dome in Yosemite Valley. Ran marathons (26.22 miles). Dove under 100 feet in the ocean. Swam from one island to another in the Philippines. Found my way back to a cruise ship after it left me behind in Cozumel, Mexico without a passport, cash, or a cell phone.
