About Me

Hey there! I’m Mete, a theatre and film actor from Turkey, currently living in Hannover, Germany as an exchange student from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.

I’ve spent years on stage and in front of the camera, and that’s where I discovered what truly moves me — people.
Every face, every story, every emotion… they all inspire me to travel and understand the world not as a tourist, but as a storyteller collecting moments.

Acting taught me empathy; traveling lets me live it.
Now, during my six-month exchange in Germany, I want to create new memories, meet inspiring souls, and let these experiences spark the butterflies that make life beautiful.

I believe the best journeys aren’t just about places — they’re about connections, laughter, late-night talks, and the small shared moments that turn strangers into friends. 🌍✨ Let’s be friends!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because real travel isn’t just about seeing places — it’s about meeting souls.
I believe in spontaneous conversations, shared meals, and those unforgettable nights that start with “just one drink.”
During my exchange in Germany, I want to create genuine connections that will make this chapter of my life even more meaningful.

Interests

Acting, cinema, photography, travel, philosophy, psychology, theater, basketball, technology, and storytelling.
I’m fascinated by people who chase what they love and live passionately — those who create, dream, and make life a little more colorful.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorites are Into the Wild, The Intouchables, and Dead Poets Society.
I love books that make me think deeply — about art, life, and the human mind. Anything that makes me feel more connected to the world around me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my time working as a lifeguard in the U.S., I experienced something truly special — it was called “Dog’s Day.”

It was the last day before the pool closed for the season, and instead of people, we opened it for dogs!
Hundreds of happy dogs of all sizes ran, jumped, and splashed around in the water while their owners laughed from the sidelines.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a bit of my culture — from Turkish coffee rituals to a few acting tricks I’ve learned on stage.
I’d love to learn about your daily life, local expressions, and how you see the world.
For me, every person I meet is like a new book waiting to be read — full of lessons and stories worth sharing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m clean, positive, and always up for a good laugh.
I can cook Turkish food, help around the house, or bring a bit of artistic energy into your home.
Most importantly, I bring good vibes and genuine curiosity — I truly love listening to people’s stories.
