Overview
About Me
I am 26 years old, am studying to become a teacher for German and History/Politics. Most of the time i live in Vienna, but especially during the last 2 years i also spent a lot of time in the countryside of upper austria. I am interested getting to know as many different cultures as possible and picking up languages and dialects wherever i can.
Besides that i love nearly all kinds of sports and fitness - especially yoga.
I am a trained massagist even though i do not work as one. Massaging became more of a hobby for me - so most of the time i simply give massages to friends and strangers which gives me as much joy as them :)
I often travel together with my girlfriend victoria who is as old as i am, a trained nurse and a nature and gardening enthusiast.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am a Couchsurfing-member because i like the idea of getting to know new people while traveling and getting advice from actual residents - real people so to speak. Also i am looking for a way of traveling that helps me getting into conversations with italian speakers in order to improve my italian which i started studying during the corona-lockdowns.
Beyond meeting new and interesting people and improving my language skills i also like the idea of sharing homes and experiences with strangers. Which might have been as big of a motivation for joining Couchsurfing as the fact that i simply do not have a lot of money as i am a student.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite genre of music would be singer-songwriter (cantautore / Liedermacher). Francesco guccini is one of my favourites at least regarding the italian cantautori.
My favourite movie surely is "the shawshank redemption" closely followed by "Avatar".
Books... there are so many i absolutely love. It is really hard to tell, but i would say "the little prince" (il piccolo principe / der kleine Prinz) is among my favourites. "Lord of the rings" surely is among my favourites aswell, followed by many many books of austrian writers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once, after passing my a-levels, went on a hitchhiking trip around great britain and ireland together with a friend of mine. We split up in scotland and i got to travel home through france which was a lot of fun and interspersed with kind and welcoming people who opened up their homes and hearts to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
As i am a language teacher i am always happy to help out with the languages i speak (german - native / english - B2 to C1 / Italian - B1-ish).
I´ve learned the trade of a massagist and i am always happy to help out with tension, back pain and similar stuff. Of course i can teach you some massaging tricks aswell :)
Improving my Italian is one of my main goals while traveling through Italy!
