Hello, my name is Chloé but everyone calls me Clo, I'm a French girls of 25. I finished my degree in business, marketing and management in September.
I am in Australia to do Working Holiday Visa since few day. Before that’s I traveled all around Southern Asia since during six months with two cousin (it was our dream since a few years). We started in January in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, we went north of the country to Thailand where we stayed one month from south to north. After that we went to Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam and now we are in Philippines since 3 weeks.
We both like is to discover new culture, to get to know the local inhabitants, their way of life, the secret corners, the local food and to exchange with them in order to introduce them to the French culture.

What I like to do whenever I have free time ? Discovering the world, but more particularly the culture and the people. That's why, despite my very young age, I have been lucky enough to visit many countries. Between my studies, my student work and my internships, I was able to find some time to discover the world. This passion and desire to discover and help comes from my grandfather, a great man with a big heart who loved to travel, give of himself and was lucky enough to cross the world at a time were travelling was not so easy.

I was born in France, so my native language is French. I also learned English at school. I don't speak it perfectly but I know how to make myself understood and it will be a pleasure to share moments with you. I was able to improve through my various trips and my two years of study abroad. I practice a little Spanish, I did it 7 years at school and I had the chance to practice it for a month and half in South America, an incredible continent where I learned a lot about the culture and about myself.

For me, travel is an adventure that allows stereotypes to fly away and discovers people with a big heart.

My main goal in life is to get to know all the incredible people around the world !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First of all, I have to tell you something. I have a fear of everything underwater, I don't go swimming in the ocean because I can't see what's under my feet. I don’t know where this phobia comes from but you will rarely see me swimming, the only times I will be in a pool. So what I am about to tell you is something incredible for me.

I had the chance to experience this during my last trip to reunion Island. While I was one the beach with my friends, they decided to go snorkeling in the coral reef to see the fauna and flora. Then they cam to pick me up on the beach to tell me that they had just fount a turtle. It is quietly eating in the middle of the corals. they swam within a meter of her. They insisted that I go with them to see it, as it is something I may only see once in my life. Stressed and anxious I took the mask and snorkel anyway and followed one of my best friends into the middle of the lagoon. Even though the stress and anxiety of the sea bed was present, I surpassed myself and was surprised to find myself 1 meter away from a magnificent turtle.
This moment was incredible and will remain engraved in my memory for life.
This dream that every person has to be able to ee an animal up close and in its natural state.

During this year in Philippines I try to do scuba diving and I really loved it. I would like to do my open-water !

Teach, Learn, Share

I was lucky enough to discover couch surfing with a friend of mine Natasha Robinson who used to use this app regularly. She made me do my first couch surfing in her home country, Scotland, about 4 and a half years ago. I loved the experience straight away. This exchange and sharing with our hosts reinforced my choice to continue to live this kind of experience. that's why a year later, during my trip to South America where I joined Natasha, we practiced couch surfing several times, whether in Brazil, Paraguay or Argentina, we loved meeting local people. they all took the time to show us around their city, to tell us stories, to let us taste traditional dishes... what impressed me the most was the welcome of all these people who, without hesitation, accepted to receive us and took pleasure in sharing their daily life with us.
I then decided to practice couchsurfing by myself in Luxembourg, and once again I had an unforgettable time, I spent a great evening.
All these experiences have allowed me to grow and be enriched. They have given another meaning to my travels. that's why I continue to practice couch surfing whenever I can.
