Hello, my name is Diana, 23 years old.
All my life I studied music, played the violin, and graduated from college. But I decided that I didn’t want to continue my studies and life in Belarus (the political situation also pushed me). Therefore, 3 years ago I moved from Minsk to Prague. I am currently a student of art, photography. I'm also a barista in a wonderful coffee shop in Prague. In my free time I do swimming and yoga.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't use couchsurfing all the time when I travel, only when I travel alone. I don't like to feel lonely, thanks to couchsurfing I can find friends and spend time with them. I want to feel at home while being far away from it. Making breakfast and coffee for someone, talking before bed

Music, Movies, and Books

It's difficult to say about preferences in music. Let's just say I love going to parties with house, disco and techno music. When I'm cleaning at home, I like to listen to Russian pop music. My “favorites” on Spotify include garage rock, experimental music, pop-rock, indie-pop, dance, electronic, Russian rap, hip-hop, post-punk. In general, there are quite a lot of genres, these will not be all.
Lately I've been watching a lot of films by Wong Kar-wai, Aki Kaurismäki, Yorgos Lanthimos. I like what studio A24 is doing, I continue to get acquainted with their films.
I don’t read much fiction; I prefer books on art history, cultural studies, and popular science. BUT, now I'm trying to read Dostoevsky's "crime and punishment". Good luck for me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am surprised at myself, how at the age of 18 I made money playing the violin in underpasses. I was able to travel with this money. There was a moment that in the morning I decided that I wanted to go to my friend in Kyiv, in the afternoon I went to play the violin for a maximum of 2 hours, went to the station, bought a ticket and in the evening I went to Kyiv. Ooooh, this happened often, it wasn’t a lot of money, but I felt free.
