Overview
About Me
Hi there! I’m Ida - 27 year old educated nurse from Bergen, Norway, with an eternal wanderlust and thirst for new adventures. If I won the lottery, first thing I’d do is pack my bags and order a one-way flight to somewhere far away. Travelling is both my fuel and my passion. I travel to live and vise versa. I’m a workaholic when I’m not away, which is a great trait when it comes to financing my trips.
I’m spontaneos, adventurous, playful, high-spirited and full of humor. I’m a very outgoing and social person, but am also comfortable being solo and enjoy my own company.
I’m well mannered, hygienic and aprecciate cleanliness, I’m respectful towards people (and other people’s property), trustworthy and honest. In addition to travelling and socializing, I love cooking and tend to spend a great deal of time in the kitchen! Benching down with Netflix and a good meal is true everyday-bliss!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A number of reasons, number one being to meet new people and to make new experiences! I love making international friends and the opportunities that come with it. Obviously, another clear advantage is the budget friendly way to travel. Saving the cost of housing enables you to travel more/longer, which is A+++
I’m new on this site, but have previously both housed - and been housed by - people I’ve met while travelling, and it’s been great. I love how CS sets this in a system, enabling us to travel, make new aquaintances/friends, learn and discover the world from a different standing - all in a budget friendly way! And remember, what comes around goes around - if you accomodate me and we get along, I’m more than happy to return the favour :))

Music, Movies, and Books
Biiiig Netflix fan! I mostly do series, but aprecciate a good movie as well. My taste is quite diverse, but I do have a certain quality standard (meaning I’m not a Pretty Little Liars or Vampire Diaries-fan for instance). My all time favourite series is Breaking Bad. Wish I could erase my memory only to watch it again and still get surprised! A good crime show is also high up on my list (f.ex Broadchurch, The Killing).
I mainly read crime novels, but I need to be in the «mood» to read and usually end up reading only on the beach😅
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year I solo backpacked South East Asia for 3 months, and had a blast! I did Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam, plus a couple of days in Singapore. Nothing was planned, except my airport of arrival and departure. I made all plans as I went along. Initially planned 3 weeks, then 6, but ended up staying almost 3 months - by then I was so poor I ended up sleeping on Changi Airport (Singapore) for my last 2 nights. I met so many great people and did so many cool things on my trip! Definitely going backpacking again.
Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts
A friendship if we get along! I’d like to think I’m good company. I’ll also always be happy to cook a thank you-meal or several and exchange experiences. If you need an update on your HLR-skills (Heart-Lung Resuscitation) or basic anatomy I’m pretty up to date and happy to teach you.
