Chi sono
I am a 28 year old Dane that graduated from Copenhagen University in 2018 and now work as a environmental geographer.
Text me if you're in Copenhagen and want a local to show you around. I love being a tour guide in my own backyard!
When traveling I don't mind seeing some of the touristy stuff (there's after all often a reason why it's popular), but I definitely think it's most interesting to just take in the general atmosphere of the place I'm visiting and potentially spending time with people who know the place. Oh, and experiencing the culinary side of a foreign place is also very important! I love to try new cuisines.
I'm quite active, play on and chair a well-organized football team, cayak in the canals of Copenhagen, run a lot etc. Recently started dancing as well (salsa/bachata). In general, I am happy to challenge myself physically and mentally. This is reflected through numerous hike in Denmark and abroad, bungee jumping/skydiving in New Zealand, looking up lectures and quiz nights. I also appreciate immersing myself in nerdy things, such as bike repairing or DYI projects. I get positive energy from being with other people and like being social, but can definitely also appreciate some alone time.
I'm very interested in sustainability and the environment (which is reflected in my academic background). I recycle, eat mostly vegetarian, commute by public transport/bike etc.
As a guest I'm very considerate of the people I'm staying with and the place I'm staying at. I respect if the host isn't a big social person, but am also totally ready to have a chat about the little and the big things. I'm very tidy and again, just very considerate in general. I'm a non-smoker!
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I've heard so many great things about Couchsurfing and think it's an excellent way of meeting new people and traveling cheaply. I'm not a huge fan of hotels as I think they lack personality, so Couchsurfing is for me a much better option. I also like receiving traveling advice from locals (to avoid the tourist traps), and when you stay at a locals house, this is much easier. I also like to give something back to others - whether it's showing someone around the place I live or giving them a place to stay for the night.
I don't need for the host to be a local tour guide, but if they can find time to show me the city that's also cool!

Musica, film e libri
Music: Foo Fighters, Whitney, The War On Drugs, Hozier and lots of other!
Movies: Inception, Captain Fantastic, Green Book and other movies that are entertaining and well thought out. In the list of awesomes series, I would probably include Breaking Bad, Chernobyl and Normal People (and others of course).
Books: I don't read a lot of fiction, but love to read stuff that teaches you something new (about politics, the environment, state of the world, history) like "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" or Naomi Klein's "This Changes Everything".
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
The first thing that comes to mind is when I bungee jumped from 134 meters in New Zealand. That was really awesome.
Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa
"Hygge", casual and curious conversations and an open mind. I'm also a decent cook!
