Hey everyone, I’m a young student who enjoys travelling, discovering new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds as I like to learn as much as I can about the world !🌎🌍🌏
Born and raised in Slovakia, living permanently in the UK, where I study Sociology at the University of Manchester, currently going into my third and final year.
I am an outgoing and friendly individual, I can be quiet at times and then very bubbly and chatty on any sort of social gatherings, willing to debate on any kind of topic. According to the people I have lived with, I am respectful and tactful housemate with a knack for cleanliness and order.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I mentioned previously, I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures and when visiting a new place, I envision the best way to immerse into the culture is to stay with the locals.
Also the travelling often gets quite expensive so ideally I would like to cut down on some additional cost that comes with staying in hotels/hostels.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to many different types of music, ranging from Pop, Alternative, Urban Styles, Hip-Hop & Rap, RnB to appreciating also music like Indie, Jazz, Blues to name a few.
As for the movies, I like comedy, psychological drama, documentaries, Netflix and a little bit of everything really.
I love reading and I’m always open to recommendations for a great book. I enjoy classic fantasy like Lord of The Rings or Harry Potter but as soon as I get back home from my travels, I am planning to extend my book collection to pieces of George Orwell, Franz Kafka or Ernest Hemingway, as I want to devote more time for reading in the future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I worked for a summer camp in Pennsylvania, USA, which has been overall a great experience as I got to work with children, which always requires a great deal of patience and ability to work in as part of a team and this, I believe, has given me a lot of opportunities for growth and improvement. Furthermore, I have met so many different people and established some invaluable friendships with people from many countries, such as USA, Spain, Belgium, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Netherlands. I am currently still in United States, flying back to Europe at the beginning of September and I am planning to travel across the country as much as I can.
