Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am not a big fan of classical holidays, nor I have resources for proper independent travelling.
Couchsurfing I want to use to get to know local places and people, rather than touristic sites. I am hoping to understand the local lifestyle and the way society and politics work in the host's country. I really enjoyed a few youth exchanges I participated in, so I am looking for something similar.

Music, Movies, and Books

Changing quite a lot, but for example Billie Eilish, Metallica, Chemical Brothers or Eminem.
Haven't seen many movies these years, but Pulp Fiction would probably be my top 1 movie. I prefer TV Shows for some reason, Rick&Morty, Chernobyl, Breaking bad, Bojack Horseman or House of Cards.
My favourite books are 1984 and then a series of books by the great Ladislav Zibura, the funniest traveller.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have established Extinction Rebellion (XR) in Slovakia and built it in three months into a proper organisation with over 50 members.
XR is a new environmental campaigning movement using civil disobedience to push society for action against climate change.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can talk about politics, the energy industry and climate change a lot. Can teach the Czech national game.
