My name is Catalina, I’m from Colombia. I’m currently a graduate student, but deep inside I’m an artistic being. I love music, dancing, and crafts, and I really enjoy being in nature and walking long distances. I love animals and taking care of them, and dancing, cooking and weaving are my favorite hobbies.

I love traveling, walking, and getting to know new people, that’s when I truly feel at home. Moving, discovering new places, and experiencing life is something that deeply inspires me. I feel a strong love for life in all its forms and a call to take care of it, I try to carry that awareness with me wherever I go. It helps me stay grounded, open, and kind.

I’m very open to new places and cultures, always with respect for the territories and the people who live there. Also, I’m vegetarian 🌱

Mi nombre es Catalina, soy de Colombia. Actualmente soy estudiante de posgrado, pero en el fondo me siento artista. Me encanta la música, bailar y las manualidades. Disfruto mucho estar en la naturaleza y caminar largas distancias. Amo a los gatos y a los perros, y cocinar y tejer son dos de mis pasatiempos favoritos.

Me encanta viajar, caminar y conocer nuevas personas; es ahí cuando realmente me siento en casa. Moverme, descubrir nuevos lugares y experimentar la vida me inspira profundamente. Siento un amor muy grande por la vida en todas sus formas y una especie de llamado a cuidarla, y trato de recordarlo en cada lugar al que voy. Eso me ayuda a mantenerme con los pies en la tierra, abierta y sensible.

Estoy muy abierta a conocer nuevos lugares y culturas, siempre desde el respeto por los territorios y por las personas que los habitan. Además, soy vegetariana 🌱

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love traveling in a human way. For me, discovering a place is not only about seeing it, but about meeting the people who live there, sharing stories, meals, walks, and everyday moments. That’s when a place starts to feel like home. Couchsurfing feels like a beautiful way to connect, exchange experiences, and build small but meaningful encounters while traveling.

I’m curious, open, and grateful for the chance to meet new people and see the world through shared experiences rather than just as a tourist
