Hi,

I'm a 24 year old woman, feminist, aspiring vegan and environmentalist. Born in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

I currently live in Oldenburg Germany where I work on a neuroscience project at Carl Von Ossietzky University. This placement has been facilitated by Erasmus +. I have recently graduated from my MSc in Psychology at the University of Surrey in the UK, and my BSc is in Criminology at Royal Holloway, University of London.

I am trying my best to learn Gearman, and my interests lie within psychology, medicine, and neuroscience. I'm a helpless dreamer and I have the same recurrent dream: it happens that I wake up in my dream and I look outside and I see an equal society where women are not oppressed by the system, where there is an even number of female politicians as it is of male politicians, a world where fellow LGBT folks are not discriminated against and so on. A beautiful society where we all care about the environment and recycle our garbage, and are mindful of meat consumption.

Also, I love reading. The philosophical Simulacra and Simulacrum (by Jean Baudrillard) is one of my favourite readings.

I have recently moved to Oldenburg in Germany for my research project. I don't know anyone here apart from my lab colleagues and supervisors, nor do I speak any German yet. I would love to meet local friends to show me the city and its surroundings, and introduce me to the German culture.

Equally, I am in love with travelling! I am planning to use this platform to stay with/ meet locals on my travels. My next travel destinations are: Egypt, Peru, Brazil, although I would always love to go back to the exciting New York City. Would never say never to a second visit to India either. Ohhh I love travelling!!!

My favourite singer is Lana Del Rey. I was fortunate enough to see her once performing on the stage of the Malahide Castle in Dublin in the summer of 2019.

My favourite genre of films is psychological thriller, 'The Mechanist', 'Shutter Island' and 'Silence of the Lambs' are among my favourites. I also like good conspiracy theory movies, documentaries, and science fiction.
