I'm Geno and I live in Ballina/Killaloe, 2 towns in two Irish counties, split by the mighty river Shannon.
Great place for outdoor adventures with the river, lake & forests. It is surrounded by great hills for hiking and hill walking.
Ballina/Killaloe is a very picturesque place and are linked by an old 13 arch bridge. It is also known as the birthplace of Brian Boru, the ancient High King of Ireland (1002 - 1014). While Brian was High King, he ruled from Killaloe making it the "Capital of Ireland."
I also compete in triathlons during the summer months and do alot of open water swimming in the lake when i can.
I am well traveled having lived abroad in Australia, California, Tenerife &various places within Ireland. I also spent two months travelling in South America also in 2009.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have done so much travelling and have been shown so much good hospitality over the years, in the countries i have been to, that i wanted to give something back to people who come and want to see the area where i live. As there is so much to see I reckon I'd make a good guide too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert when I was 21.
Traveled down to Ushuaia in Terre del Fuego in Argentina also....most southerly city in the world.
