About Me
Current mission:
I got on my bike right infront of my House in Freiburg (Germany) and started to ride 3000km to Greece, Mount Olympus. This adventure is meant to be a fundraiser for two NGOs that care for humanitarian help and that I am volunteering for. One of these NGOs (Medical volunteers international) is working in Thessaloniki, so my goal is to reach them there. Even though I got my tent with me and enjoy being outdoors a lot, I dont want to miss the advantages of having good company. So I guess Couchsurfing is the right place to make this plan work.
I have been a student for more time than enough before I started working last year, because i enjoy being independent and free like that. I like to be allowed to have no strict plans and to have the opportunity to do whatever I wanna do with my time. So I like to experience the world with all the nice people in it and making new friends out of it. I decided to volunteer for refugees in Greece for a NGO that is called Philoxenia, what means Love for Strangers. I found there what i had expected because it was such a great time meeting so many different people, but seeing that in some kind we are all the same. At first I see the good in human beings until the opposite is proven.
I lived together with many different people in many different places and I enjoyed all of them. People who know me would probably say that my greatest talent is that I don´t take myself too serious. So I would be happy to expand all these feelings with more experiences like these.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I see a benefit for everyone in this idea. I like this open- and liberal-minded community, which sees the good in the fellow human beings (Love for Strangers). You get to know strangers and their stories and you can find out that you have been friends for a long time before without to know each other. In this way you learn so much about our world that no book or teacher is able to teach you. With this state of mind I want to continue my previous experiences, so here I am.
