Overview
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Xenophon, it's pronounced Ksenofon and I live in Greece. I work as a medical laboratory technician in north Greece for the past 10 years and I'm slowly making a transition to some remote work. I'm a freelance web developer with a passion for game development and my plan is to leave my work as a technician and only work remotely so I can travel! First big trip was to Iceland and next is Japan. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu! (I still can't write or read japanese, but I'm doing my best to at least be able to communicate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
There are 2 main reasons. Reason number 1 is, I think this is the best way to visit a new country. By couchsurfing, you can meet locals and learn more about the country than by staying in a hotel or any other alternatives. Why go to a new country if not for meeting new people and learning about their different customs and traditions?
Reason number 2, I live in Greece and waiges here are pretty low so it's very difficult to visit some of the more expensive countries. I didn't want this to stop me from travelling so couchsurfing found the solution. When the circumstances allow it, I'll start hosting too in Greece!
Interests
I can't write all my interests here because every day I find new ones 😅 But I did my best to find what was on my mind today! So for today I'll say travelling, photography and meeting new people!
- anime
- drawing
- cycling
- travelling
- adventure
- game development
Music, Movies, and Books
Totally depending on the mood but I mostly like jazz and blues. Books I mostly use some audiobooks to learn Japanese when I go to bed at night. Movies, everything with a preference to anime!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling all around Iceland in a van with 3 of my friends.
Teach, Learn, Share
People call me a jack of all trades but really the only thing I know how to do well is searching solutions on google 😅. About learning, I'm very eager to learn Japanese
