Hey everybody! My name is Truett. I'm a 25 year old Master's student from Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. I study German/Literature and I'm currently participating in an exchange year in Stuttgart, Germany. I'm rather extraverted and love meeting new, interesting people. My main hobby is playing guitar, but I also enjoy debating with friends, doing pretty much any outdoor activity (and luckily studying language).

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet friendly people from different parts of the world. My best friend in America hosts couchsurfers all the time and has hosted people from all over the world. (I plan to host people as soon as I have the available space.) I think it's a great way of traveling on a budget and getting to meet people you would otherwise never meet! It's gonna be the future of traveling!

My favorite type of music would have to be rock! But in my hometown, there is plenty of folk and country music to go around! I'm very much into 19th/20th century literature.. Some of my favorite authors are Hemmingway, Orwell, Kafka.. I also enjoy reading works more philosophical and psychological texts - Jung, Nietzche, Watts. As for movies I like anything good! Action, thriller, comedy.. don't matter to me!

Some of my favorite things to discuss are linguistics, philosophy, literature, psychology, politics/history, as well as lighter things such as art and nature!
