About Me

Hi! I'm Diego Luna, a tourismologist born and raised in beautiful Costa Rica. I'm passionate about sharing the rich culture, nature, and everyday life of our countryside with travelers from around the world.

I'm excited to open the doors of our home to anyone curious to experience rural living here in Costa Rica. We live in a peaceful area surrounded by lush landscapes and fresh mountain air, just a short drive from some of the country’s most iconic natural and historical spots — including the Irazú and Turrialba volcanoes, Ujarrás Ruins, Tapantí National Park, and the charming Orosi Valley.

As an openly gay man 🌈, I believe in creating a space that’s open, safe, and welcoming to everyone — no matter where you’re from or who you are. Whether you're looking to explore nearby trails, relax in nature, or just enjoy some local coffee and conversation, you're more than welcome here. Looking forward to connecting, learning from each other, and making unforgettable memories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that travel is about more than just places — it's about people, stories, and real connections. As someone who works in tourism, I love meeting people from different cultures and showing them the authentic side of Costa Rica, especially rural life that many visitors don’t get to experience.

Hosting through Couchsurfing gives me the chance to share our home, our way of life, and some local knowledge — while also learning from my guests and hearing about their journeys. It’s a beautiful exchange, and it reminds me how much we all have in common, no matter where we come from.
