Hey everyone! It's Johanna, a 24 years old maths and physics student (to work as a teacher in the future) from Mainz, Germany. I enjoy living the students lifestyle a lot. That's why I take as much time as I need to finish my studies (fortunately without tuition fees haha) and I use my free time to travel around and explore the world.

I think there are a lot underrated countries all over the world where a visit would be worth it. People are nice and exciting everywhere!

In my free time I really like doing sports like volleyball, bouldering or surfing. Besides I love taking pictures with my old analog compact camera. It's always a big surprise to see the results! And generally I like spending time hanging out with people. I would say that I am an active person - always ready for new experiences!:)

In my home town I live in a flat shared community with 4 roommates. So I know what respectfully being-with-one-another means. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is special to see new places through the eyes of the local people. I am curious about the culture, lifestyle, stories, favorite food (and favorite beer ahaha) and everything else of my future hosts! And I actually don't enjoy typical tourist tours, impersonal hotels and stuff like this. I visit new countries without having big plans and just see what happens.
