I am a physics PhD student that is very connected to my Brazilian heritage. I am a highly communicative person that likes to share experiences and learn new things. I am truly passionate about the world around me: nature, animals, human relations; all of these fascinate me. I also closely stick to ethics and a sustainable form of living, so if you do not think that policies that both suppress social disparity and incorporate naturally with the environment should lead the horizon of a given government, probably we would not get along so well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet people with common interests and different backgrounds. I am new to Germany and I miss having a safe environment with people that I can connect to. The people in the department I work in are very closed, and thus I am having difficulties finding friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite musics are the ones from Chico Buarque de Hollanda, Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil. I think that my favorite book is Ensaio sobre a Cegueira, from Saramago. It is hard for me to pick a favorite movie, but maybe Forest Gump? But my inner child would have also said Toy Story hehehe

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It is hard to label such a thing, but I am very proud of being one of the leaders of the riot in Universidade de São Paulo against the small payment given to PhD students and lack of inclusion policies that guaranteed that low income students had the possibility to carry their studies to the end.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I do know my physics and somewhat a bit of Brazilian culture. As to learn, I am eager to learn pretty much everything. But what interests me the most is your country's culture, science and arts, politics, history, philosophy, and so on and so forth. But of course, I like the good and old random chitchat most of the time.
