About Me

Hey everyone, I’m very new to couchsurfing but I’m excited to be here! A short intro: I'm a film major at a university in Los Angeles, California, USA. I still have a few years to go but I'd love to become a producer and/or director one day. I'm fascinated with how stories are so influential simply because they represent us. Always open to discussing the various plots and themes that correspond to this life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always enjoyed traveling, but being a tourist isn't enough. I would much rather visit a place with a friend where they can talk about the culture and heart of their town.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, where would I be without it. My favorite artists, in no particular order are: Girl in Red, Clairo, Maggie Rogers, Paramore, Wallows, and Relient K. Lyrics are life!

As for movies, my most favorite ones are ones with dialogue that are witty and that make one think. Ladybird is exceptional in capturing the angst and uncertainty of growing up, while Booksmart is more lighter in tone but still conveys all the whirlwind emotions we have come to know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad in Tokyo! It totally changes a person’s perspective about what it means to be a global citizen and brings out a sort of independence one didn’t know they had. It's been a lot of fun improving my Japanese as well!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know guitar, so if you have one laying around I'd be glad to teach you. I'm also an absolute language nerd and would love to have language exchanges if you're up for it. I'm naturally a curious person and love learning about new ideas and ways of living, as well as hearing about your passions. There's just something about hearing people talk about what they love that has always captured my interest and made my appreciate who they are.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm pretty terrible at cooking but have no fear, where my skill lacks I am very good at cleaning. But really, I love to help out with chores, whether that is washing dishes, taking the trash out, or organizing files and putting them neatly on the internet. And of course we can talk about our cultures!

Thank you for reading, I look forward to talking with you about what it's like living in this crazy world and swapping stories that last a lifetime!
