About Me

Hey !!!

Uptade 2025: Currently in Ecuador 🇪🇨

I'm Cédric, originally from France 🇫🇷 but I'm rarely in this country. I've been travelling since I'm 18 years old, I started with shorts trips (3 months) and now I'm traveling slowly for many months. I like to stay in a place for a while to get to know people, the place, helping around. I'm doing some volunteering, mostly in hostels and farms but I also stayed in a Buddhism temple 🪷 for a month, I hitchhiked in Europe for 8 months, I fixed a boat in Greece, crossed the Atlantic ocean with a catamaran ⛵... I'm open to every new things! I'm trying to have a low carbon impact (no fly, vegetarian diatery, reduce trash, help around)

I love learning the history of a place, understand the political issues in a country, learn a new language, discover a new way to do things and think! Thanks to my travels I started to learn more about me and what I like: spirituality, food (oh yeah and I can cook too 🧑‍🍳), languages, anthropology, history, sports (any sports) and much more!

If you want to host me, first I give you a big thanks and then I can tell I'm really tidy and organised: I won't make a mess in your place. I love to cook so we can share a meal together (I'm vegetarian btw), share a drink, go to dance, hike, do some sport, walk...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is an amazing way of traveling to meet local and travelers around the world! It already proved it many times during my trips. I discover couchsurfing in 2022 during a trip in UK and then I found this community amazing and with a common sense of travelling and discovering! People are helpful and we come back to a way of life where you don't pay for everything (I'm not saying I just want to stay for free don't missunderstand me). Sharing is caring so let's do it!

Unfortunately I can't host because I'm never at home, oh wait I don't have home anymore. But one day I'll be able to host and I'll give back thousand times more than people gave me

Interests

I'm in love with music, I'm listening a lot of music everyday from something chill for the morning to tribal house at night. My mains types of music are funk, house, disco but to be honest I listen to almost everything.

I'm also traveling with my ukulele and I'm playing few songs. Mostly in French and English but I would love to learn more!

As I tell before I love all sports and I'm always ready to play anything! I did 10 years of judo, 5 years of badminton, both in competitions. Then I love riding a bike, play volleyball, football, billard, darts, dance, hike, climbing

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm listening a lot of music and every styles from calm piano to deep house, from raegge to electro. I always bring a speaker with me to be ready to dance!
I'm reading a lot, mostly in French. I love adventure books, people who traveled to world inspire me. From Hitchhikers to Magellano, from fiction to reality. I read also some society books to try to understand the world and why it's like this. Some book about people or communities who decided to lived outside of this consumering society.
Always ready to watch a movie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to French Polynesia in 2020 and it was really amazing. I meet beautiful people, I make really good friends and it was a magical place. All the islands I did was incredible and beautiful! A sunset in Tahiti, taking boat in Pacific ocean, doing woofing in Marqueses...

I also hitchhiked in Europe for 8 months. I stopped to volunteer in Croatia, Slovakia, Greece and I met some amazings people !!

Recently I crossed the Atlantic ocean with a Catamaran for 1 month. It was amazing! We stopped in Gibraltar, Canarias Islands, Cabo Verde and the Martinique!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can talk in French, English, Spanish or italian (my Italian needs a refresh but that's okay). I can teach you some French or English, some Spanish but I'm still learning. I can teach you some chords with the ukulele. Some recipes for cooking Crêpes or other things.

Then we can talk about sailing, hiking, traveling, society, history, politics, culture... I'm open to all the topics (of course don't start with the flat earth please or with something racist)

I would love to learn more about the culture of the country, the place where I am. Some recipes too as I can share it with other people around the continent. I would love to learn how to live more sustainable in this only one planet. What tips I can use, what can I do to help the community and people.
Many things to resume

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook some french meals as crêpes, cakes or something else ! We can have a good time by cooking and eating (I love food in general).
We can share stories, good plans, talk about deep topics, cook, dance, hike, snorkeling and much more!
