About Me

In Italian we say "ciao" when we greet people but in my hometown Naples you'll catch us repeatedly shouting "we" (read as "oueh") at each other throughout the day. We! to all the couchsurfers on my profile.

I am a Southern Italian guy who graduated in sustainable development and tries to go for a low-impact lifestyle and a greener future. Throughout my life I hopped around a bit but I've mostly spent the past four years in the Netherlands.

I spent my teenage and university years in boarding schools and dorms, making me quite chatty and accustomed to sharing spaces.

I am usually quite talkative and friendly and life has gifted me with a bunch of fun stories to tell. Do you want to know about how I almost lost a finger during my first week in Hong Kong? Or about how I ended up picking guavas for the parents of a guy I met two years ago on a trip?

Very much into hiking and city walks. Would love to do that together with those hosting me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I moved into a boarding school from early age and was always surrounded by friends. Up to this day I really enjoy being surrounded by people and CS is a great way to meet people while travelling.

I sadly cannot host because I live with other people, but we all have friends who often come to visit and our house couch is often pretty busy anyways.

Music, Movies, and Books

All times favorite I simply cannot list but these are some (sort of) latest obsessions:
- music: твои волшебные мечты (acquired music taste from my Belarusian friend)
- movie: Fallen Angels (cliché but how could one not like this?)
- book: My Brilliant Friend (set in my hometown Naples)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I love random adventures, here are some favorite ones:

I hitchhiked in flip flops from The Netherlands to Spain, which was a very poor choice. I got arthritis in my feet toes for a year or so because of how much it rains in France (it was also late autumn cold)

While living in Armenia, a friend of mine and I went to the "Tatev" monastery, which is located on the peak of a mountain and is connected to another mountain peak by a cable line. Long story short, we missed the last ride back. We had to walk our whole way back through the mountain valley. So tiring.

My best friend moved to Florida and told me he wasn't feeling too happy. Luckily I had some money saved up. I surprised him and showed up to his door a couple of weeks later without telling him. We spent two wonderful weeks together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I cook and it's not only Italian food. My go-to is Chinese food since I spent a year between Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

A few years back I chose to learn more about plant-based diets and set out to try new recipes and cooking methods, including fermentation. Now I can make my own kimchi and vegan cheese.

I get very excited when it comes to hiking. I usually come to a place with a list of nice hikes I could do. Let's do one together.

I'm currently travelling with a bag of Taiwanese oolong tea if you want to try some.
