About Me
Hi, I’m Sujan 👋
I’m originally from India and currently working in the Health & Safety field in the energy industry. I’m passionate about meeting people from different cultures and believe that travel is as much about connecting with people as it is about seeing new places.
When I’m not working, I love exploring local food spots, walking through markets, and finding hidden historical corners of a city. I’m easy-going, respectful of personal space, and always leave a place cleaner than I found it (occupational habit from my HSE job 😄).
I enjoy good conversations over a coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening, swapping travel stories, and learning about the small, local traditions that make each place unique.
In return for your hospitality, I’m happy to cook a delicious Indian meal, share safety tips from my job, or help with small tasks around the house.
For me, Couchsurfing is about trust, cultural exchange, and building friendships, not just a free place to crash.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m here to connect with people, share cultures, and learn from local stories. Couchsurfing means genuine friendships and trust, not just a place to stay. I want to exchange hospitality, ideas, and make meaningful memories beyond typical travel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending days alone at sea on a small boat, just me, the endless horizon, and the rhythm of the waves. It’s a powerful reminder of how small we are, how vast the world is, and how much peace can be found in solitude. That lone stay taught me patience, respect for nature, and a deep sense of freedom.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you how to cook spicy Indian dishes, share practical safety tips from my profession, and even teach you a few tricks on how to survive at sea. I’m a coastal boy at heart, so the ocean is in my blood.
I’m eager to pick up the local slang and culture, discover secret food spots, and how locals truly enjoy life, plus hear the little stories that don’t make it into any guidebook.
I can share my travel stories, cultural insights, and a helping hand with any small tasks around your home.
