Hello, I’m Meli. A bubbly Costa Rican girl exploring life, myself, culture, languages and people around the world.

I started travelling by myself around 3 years ago and I had one of the best experiences of my life in London, where I found beautiful human beings who are my friends for life. This year I decided to visit other places in Europe, so here I am.

My mission is to be happy, please myself while I am spreading some joy to the people who is around me. I also teach Spanish online as my full time job and this really makes me happy, I am working on my own business helping people to learn my native language all over the world.

I am in love with life, nature, books, people, food.

Social media is part of my personal life and my business. I do spam sometimes on Instagram: go_melina.

I am not a partying person (or a raver), I am more into long walks, deep conversations, hiking, visiting small towns, cities, mountains and trying all kind of food.

I have been meeting a lot of people the last few years, with different goals, meanings of happiness, cultures, lifestyles and I love that, they are teaching me so much and making my mind wider and definitely more open and respectful to others. Thank you.

I avoid negativity in my life, complains and any heavy vibes; when I am in that mood, I get my own time to offer myself some kindness, love and compassion and go back to world been a positive person again.

I am making the most of my life.

I am “pura vida” and I love to go slow.

-I went to Nicaragua as a volunteer to help building a water sanitation system for a very small and poor community. I lived with a local family and lived as a local for 10 weeks with other volunteers. I learnt from this experience that I can be happy with so much less, that I want real relationships with people, that I am stronger than what I used to think.
-I trekked for few weeks with friends and this experience changed my life, after that I knew I could do anything I want in my life, I can manage my own mind make anything possible.
-I am travelling, sometimes meeting long life friends. But the feeling of being independent and strong makes me proud of myself.

What I can really do is to talk a lot (I really talk a lot, but no worries, sometimes I prefer silence and meditation).
I am not good at cooking but I am a great assistant.
