Deep down a personality that is Finnish!
I have had the privilege of being born in the United Kingdom, to a Finnish and a Iranian parent.

However despite three countries I can call home, this isn’t enough for me, there is a whole world out there to explore and it is big enough to keep me busy for my whole life.
I am fascinated by the rich diversity of cultures and
paradoxically even more so the similarities between different peoples.
I travel to meet people, seeing sites is great and all but it’s the people whom you meet that leaves the greatest memories.

From my already extensive travels, I had always met travellers who insisted that I should try CS and was inspired by the community spirit I heard and the few events I attended, and I have not been disappointed.
A rare regret was that I didn’t join years sooner.

I am not much of a music listener but I am keen reader reader (history books are my favourite), and I enjoy thought provoking films, which these days isn’t really produced by Hollywood anymore.

The experience of living in Iran after I graduated from university, to explore my roots and attempt to learn the language. Because we are often not in control of our own destiny, my time there was too brief, however it was thus far the best time of my life, and will always treasure the memories.

And more recently driving the Pamir highway in Tajikistan on the Afghan border with a cheap rental sedan that was totally unprepared for the one of the most dangerous roads on the planet.
