🌸 I am İrem from ISTANBUL♥️Turkey. I am a pharmacist and volunteer math teacher for mid school students who do not have access to a qualified education.

🌸 My aim in this platform is to be a host or a guest, whatever the life shows us ✨ I hosted my friends so far but I want to have foreign friends and this platform will help us

🌸 I see couchsurfing as a culture exchange so I am curious about every kind of person.

🌸 I visited lots of places in my beautiful city, Istanbul, and I am ready to guide my guests as a host!!!!

I prepared a programme (4+ days) for my future guests which includes both touristic and unknown secret places.
My home is in the center of the Asian side. We will visit both the Asian and European sides together because Istanbul is a city that connects both continents with 3 bridges and lots of subways!!!
I know a variety of food and touristic places in İstanbul. I live with my family and we are willing to cook traditional foods for my guests also.
Turkish cuisine includes both Mediterranean type food and has some Middle East notes. There is a variety of food choices we will try (vegan choices present ♥️).
There are lots of mosques, madrasa, church, square, museum that we will see together. But I always tend to show unknown places that you can eat, drink, enjoy and never forget!!!
My guest will have a private room. I live in a site in Istanbul which will be great to spend time with.
I also want my guests to experience the never-ending nightlife of Istanbul and great concerts.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because as a local in Istanbul, I want to provide a local life to my backpacker friends. Meeting people around the world and visiting them back is so exciting. Travel may last for couple of days but the influence of the travel to your mind stays forever!! You may think that you are forgetting about your moments from your previous trips but you never loose the feelings inside your soul.

I love travel and biography books so much. I love reading modern-classicals. My aim is to spend half an hour per day with reading.
I have seen 100-150 movies so far and most of them are cult ones. But my favorites are The Hangover 1 and 2.
12 angry men, American History X were impressive movies breaking down prejudices
Forrest gump, Into the Wild, Parasite, Capernaum, Incendies, Shutter Island, Truman Show, Hachi are the movies I can talk about forever ♥️

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited Rome, Florence, Pisa, Venezia, Budapest, Prague, Vienna as a backpacker with my bestfriend. It was the most beautiful trip in my life which made me feel alive.
