About Me
Hi! I’m a 4th-year student studying Special Education Teaching. I live in the beautiful city of Çanakkale, Turkey. I’m both Turkish and German, and I really enjoy meeting people from different cultures and sharing experiences. I’m friendly, open-minded, and always curious to learn something new—especially about different lifestyles and education systems around the world.
I love talking about inclusive education, psychology, and cultural exchange. In my free time, I enjoy exploring nature, reading, and having meaningful conversations. I’m here on Couchsurfing to connect, share, and maybe host or travel when possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to meet new people from different parts of the world, share experiences, and learn about different cultures. I believe in the power of meaningful connections and want to be a part of a community where we can exchange knowledge, stories, and even small moments that make travel and life richer. I also hope to offer a warm welcome to others when I can, share the beauty of my city, and maybe even host travelers who are interested in discovering Çanakkale.
Interests
One of my biggest interests is football. I enjoy both playing and watching it, and I love discussing the tactics and excitement of the game. Whether it’s a local match or a major international tournament, I’m always eager to talk about the teams, players, and unforgettable moments in football history. It’s a great way to connect with others, and I enjoy being part of football discussions with fellow enthusiasts.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to Turkish folk and classical music; they carry the soul of our culture. I’m deeply inspired by Atatürk and admire everything related to the Turkish War of Independence. Among movies, I love historical and biographical ones—especially Moneyball and Greyhound for their depth and spirit. When it comes to books, I enjoy reading authors like Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, who depict the national struggle with depth and realism. I also admire Yılmaz Özdil, especially his works focusing on Atatürk’s life and values.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During my university studies, I had the chance to work closely with children who have special needs. One amazing thing I’ve done was helping a non-verbal child express themselves through alternative communication methods. Seeing their happiness and progress was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a special education student, I love sharing what I know about inclusive education and different learning strategies. I can teach basic Turkish and also share information about Atatürk’s vision and ideas. I’m always open to learning about new cultures, languages, and personal stories. I believe everyone has something valuable to teach and something meaningful to learn. I’d love to share good conversations, meals, and perhaps some inspiring music or books.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love sharing stories, cultural insights, and experiences from both my Turkish and educational backgrounds. I can teach basic Turkish, and I’d be happy to share my knowledge about inclusive education and the Turkish War of Independence. I can also offer a warm meal, some good conversation, and maybe even music or books that inspire me. I believe in sharing meaningful moments, and I’m open to learning from my host as well!
