Hi everyone! My name is ISABEL (you can call me Isa), I'm originally from Madrid, but I live now in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain.
I am a calm and easygoing person who loves travelling. Probably this is one of the reasons why I am working in the hotel industry.

A finales del 2022, decidimos volver a España y establecernos en Jerez de la Frontera, donde vivimos actualmente.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I knew about this community thanks to my boyfriend and first time I heard about it I was shocked. People giving a couch in exchange of nothing? Just because they want to meet you? This is just... Wow!

I was later able to live the experience by myself, hosting and being hosted and I can't be thankful enough for that.

Conocí esta comunidad gracias a mi pareja; en cuanto me contó de qué trataba me quedé impresionada!! ¿Gente abriéndote las puertas de casa a cambio de nada? ¿Simplemente quieren conocerme?... Alucinante!!

Después he tenido la oportunidad de vivir la experiencia por mí misma, acogiendo gente y siendo hospedada; y por eso estoy súper agradecida.

Interests

I like travelling and since my big journey began, I am a huge fan of reading everyday in my Kindle. Although I have to admit that I might be old-fashioned because I love to have the book in my hands.

I also like hearing stories from people who are traveling, so they can show me their experience and probably learn from them.

Another hobby since the crazy Covid arrived to everyone's life is Netflix! I have a super friend who gave me access to his account 😜

Cheese 🧀 fries 🍟 popcorn 🍿 and M and M s lover!!! 😍

And last but not least, I love my cat!! 😻

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different types of music, but mostly pop (Spanish and English songs).
Escucho todo tipo de música, depende del humor que tenga en ese momento. Pero casi siempre escucho Pop (en español e inglés)

Books must have comedy and love! Then, they are perfect to me 😍

Movies.... Love? Hahaha sorry but I'm so sentimental. I just can't chose few of them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quitting my job, leave my life and travel around the world. The first thing I did was crossing Canada from East to West.
Dejar mi trabajo y mi vida para viajar alrededor del mundo. La primera de las cosas que hice en ese viaje fue cruzar Canadá de Este a Oeste.

I saw laying eggs at night in the beach (in Tortuguero, Costa Rica) one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
En Tortuguero (Costa Rica) pude ver como las tortugas desovaban (dejaban los huevos en la playa) y ha sido una de las experiencias más bonitas que he vivido.

Visiting the Egyptian pyramids during Covid time (the good thing was that the place was empty! )

l would love to practice and improve my second languages (I feel so embarrassed when I'm talking in French or German).
