About Me
Moin & Hi my name is Jane!
I would describe myself as an open person which is probably the go to sentence on here since if it weren’t for that I wouldn’t be on CS, right?
Since I am bored by writing texts about myself that just resemble the ones from before I wanted to just do a list of things I enjoy:
tanning, interior design, social architecture, genuine people, the color purple, backpacking, trying new cuisines, empathy, conversations that go further than today’s weather, dancing salsa, bachata, merengue or hip-hop, going out to techno or trance gigs, afrobeats, board games, languages, bike rides, pears, women’s right, ALDI (agerman discounter), camping, all things colourful that stand out, people’s passions and the sun! :)
also a list of things I don’t enjoy:
sexism, racism, darkness, the pineapple gummibears, dirty pans, patriarchy, winter clothes and the time taken from us during the pandemic :(
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Currently focussing on traveling on my own and getting comfortable in that. The best way to do so, is in my opinion by meeting people and spending a great time together.
I am planning on starting to step more out of my comfort zone and getting in touch with (local) upfront people when I go places. So really excited to get into it with CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
When I have time I enjoy reading a lot. For me it is always important to balance out a storytelling book with an educational book at times. In general I read books on topics that I want to educate myself in more, such as Feminism, Racism, Genderroles, Fascism …. Frustrating to read but super important which is why I need a light story for a change in between!!
My absolute go to music is techno when going on a rave.
Since April last year I engaged in Salsa and Bachata dancing and hence got hooked on latin music as well. My good to tunes when I want to have a good time and a cheerful time are Afrobeats and Amapiano!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working on a constructions site for a bamboo training center in the rural area of Ghana with locals who were so much more skilled with the machete than I was, for sure!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversations and a great laugh! Maybe a dance? I also fancy board games but if it’s sunny I’d much prefer being outdoors!
Let’s cook together!
