My name is Daphne, I am 27 years old and I live in The Hague, Netherlands. I live 5 minutes from the beach and I love to sail and surf on the ocean!

Originally I am from a little town called 'Leiden' but I decided to move to Scheveningen when I was 17 y/o to commit to the Dutch sailing Federation to pursuit my Olympic dream. In 2010 I won a silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore which was very inspiring. I decided to give my 100% to pursuit this dream.

I have had my focus on the olympic Games of 2024 but due to an injury I have to let go of this dream.

I am used to traveling for my sport but I had never been able to see much so I decided to travel a bit more. Last year I came to Canada and I absolutely loved it!

Now one year later I got myself a working holiday visa and just arrived in Canada. I am totally ready for this new adventure and trying to explore and see as much of Canada as possible.
