Hey there!

My name is Didi, I am from Indonesia, but I grew up in Hamburg, Germany. Currently, I am a PhD student at the University of Bremen. I love to visit places, but especially to meet new people to get to know different perspectives on how they see the life and the world.

Besides traveling, my hobbies are playing badminton and singing in a choir.

I am looking forward to discover new things. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking the Volcán Barú in Panamá, 2019. A 12-hours hike that starts at midnight in order to see the sunrise at the peak of the volcano.

I hiked the Volcán Barú, which is the highest mountain in Panamá. I was supposed to hike alone, but at the starting point of the hiking trail I met Ronja Maltzahn, a singer-songwriter from Germany. She carried her Ukulele, so every time we took a break she played some songs, which was magical! Imagine listening to live music under a clear sky, observing the stars and hearing the sound of the nature in the background... at night. It took us 6 hours to reach the peak of the the volcano.

This was for sure one of the toughest adventure in my life, but it was 100% worth it!
