Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I don't mean to stay in resorts and take guided tours. I am not interested in becoming a tourist. I want to learn about other countries and become a part of them. I want to see things as a local see.

Interests

I am an outdoorsy and nature person so I'd love to spend my time hiking, jogging, kayaking, playing soccer, sunbathing at the beach or having a picnic. Being surrounded by greens and trees is what makes me energized and happy.

At night, I love to read and chill with movies and wine.

I am a foodie so whenever I visit a new place, I will have to try the local foods! I also cook quite well (Vietnamese and Chinese foods are my expertise :) )

Music is also a big part of my life. I feel the happiest when I dance without a worry in the world! I am particularly more into older genres of music, such as the '60s-90s. My favourite singers and bands are Frank Sinatra and Air Supply. My all-time favourite song is I Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You (I can play this song on repeat, day in and day out). At the moment, I can't stop listening to Be More by Stephen Sanchez 🥺

Lastly, I am addicted to coffee! I am the type of person who spends 15 minutes of my morning routine to make myself a perfect cup of caffè con il latte;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once travelled from Milwaukee to Boston in the dead of winter ❄️ . I slept on the buses, took the trains, and crashed at bus stations on some nights. It was frigid and dark and I was hungry all the time. The trip was miserable but also the most unforgettable. No cars, no hotels. Just bussing and sleeping wherever for two weeks.
