About Me
Hey everyone!
My name is Konstantin, and I’m a 22-year-old senior student from Moscow, Russia.
I grew up in Siberia (Altai Krai) and moved to Moscow for university. During my first two years here, I taught myself English from scratch and later had the incredible opportunity to study in the USA as a fully funded student. Out of the 10 months I spent there, I dedicated 81 days to traveling and visited 12 states! It was a life-changing experience—thanks to Couchsurfing, I met so many amazing people and discovered my passion for travel, exploring cultures, and embracing new experiences.
For the past two years, I’ve been mostly in Russia, focusing on finishing my studies in Robotics. Once I graduate, I’m determined to explore Europe—no matter what it takes!
Besides engineering, I have a creative side—I play guitar and piano and work as a content creator for Russian tech companies. So, I’m both analytical and artistic!
I don’t post often, but feel free to check out my Instagram: @kostya_bikovec to see more about me and my lifestyle. Looking forward to meeting awesome people along the way! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to connect with open-minded and positive people, share knowledge and experiences, and make friends across the globe! I think we all live in a particular social bubble, and the more you explore the world, the more you gain knowledge of others' pain and history. This helps you become less biased and less confined to your social bubble, which I believe is key for mutual understanding and acceptance.
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: I’m not a huge fan of reading, but I try to read as much as I can. Recently, I finished The Hunger Games and am currently reading 11/22/63 by Stephen King.
Music: I enjoy a mix of genres, including Eminem, Billie Eilish, classical piano music, and classic rock bands like Scorpions and Queen.
Movies: I’m a big fan of Breaking Bad.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been involved in research activities for almost six years, spending nearly four of them developing the digital complex Orientir to enhance the safety and independence of blind individuals in daily life.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I mentioned, I graduated from piano and guitar school in Russia, so if you have either of these instruments, I’d be happy to teach you how to play! I’d also love to sing some songs on the guitar for you.
And of course, I can teach you some Russian too! 😊
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share insights about living in both Russia and the USA. I love cooking and would be happy to cook something together! If I can arrange it, I’d also love to make Russian crepes for you!
