Hi! My name is Gaëlle, I am 22 years old and I am in my final year of my bachelor of science at Laval University in Canada. I grew up in Alsace (France), but often moved and I have been living in Quebec for a few years now. I am curious, open-minded and I have a good sense of adaptability.

Fun fact : I have moved a total of 10 times in 22 years and I have attended 9 schools over the years (in two different countries) 🌎

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After 4 years away from "home", I will be returning to Alsace to see my family in June of 2022. After that, I plan on travelling through Europe by train for two months (July-August) with my boyfriend. His name is Julien and he’s also 22 years old. He just graduated from university, where he majored in mathematics and informatics. We've been together for over 4 years and this is going to be our first big trip together. It's also going to be his first time in Europe. We can't wait to discover Europe this summer! We believe that coursurfing will be the best way to get to know new people and new cultures while we are backpacking ☀️

In the fall, we will be moving to Paris, where I will be concluding my undergraduate studies with a research internship in biology. Therefore, we're currently selling pretty much everything own, leaving our apartment and flying off for 7 months of adventure 🚂

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I currently work as a research assistant in oceanography and marine biology. In the fall of 2021, I had the amazing opportunity of getting on board the Amundsen, a research icebreaker, and pursue research in the Canadian Arctic!🚢
