About Me

Hello there! My name is Alex and I love travelling, learning languages and visiting different countries. I am so excited to start college in Groningen and I want to travel as much as possible. I am a rather extroverted person, but I'm still very awkward and clumsy. I don't smoke/drink a lot of alcohol and I am not the party kind of guy, I'd rather spend a nice evening playing pen and paper or boardgames. However, I still love meeting new people and I'd be honored to meet you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, visit new places and get out of my comfort zone. And to be able to travel cheaply.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading Italian books by authors like Benni Stefano, Niccolò Ammaniti and also authors of the 20th century like Leonardo Sciscia. I also like to read Science Fiction like "1984" and "A brand new world".

In music I constantly listen to Jpop by different artists like Ado, Deco*27 and different Hololive covers. I also like Musicals like Hamilton and Mean Girls and sometimes I listen to the longest Johns.

In games I like to play PUBG, LoL and VR games like Beat Saber.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did an exchange year to Japan in 2019. There I lived with a host family and went to a local school. It was a very intense experience, I managed to meet so many people and I greatly improved my Japanese skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring some cool German snacks and tell stories from my exchange year.
