Hey! I am Emma, I'm a 21 year old from a small city in northern Germany, currently traveling Latinamerica for one year. Last year I graduated and felt the urge to escape my bubble, see the world, get new perspectives on myself and life and have a good time :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like the concept of sharing what you have...culture food knowledge wisdom. CS forms connection throughout the world in places so far from home and with people from such different cultures, that it somehow gives a sense of unity and world-community that so often is lost, but so important!
It's also much nicer getting to know a place with a local, who tells all the good stories and places.

Interests

I like hiking and being in nature in general. Of course I like traveling, learning about all the cultures, languages and getting a new perspective on the way of living.
Cooking is a big passion of mine as well as trying new foods as I am traveling. At home I am mostly vegan and when traveling I am more flexible though, mostly eating vegetarian, eating meat from time to time.
I also sing in a choir. U will surely hear me sing under the shower or when I feel brave when doing some music together. I am still a little shy about that, but would love to explore making music a lot more and get out of my comfort zone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like organic, soulful music, that has a handmade feel to it. Genre wise I am all over the place I think, just listen to what feels good

Having awesome jam-session-days with my first ever CS- Host and getting taught to play a piece on the accordion by him.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to share my culture through food and maybe cook something with and for you.
I can show you some traditional and modern music and you might show me some classics from your country.
