Overview
About Me
My name is Ofir, I was born in Israel and have lived my entire life there.
Throughout my childhood, the idea of traveling was only for short vacation weekends.
At the age of 19, I was recruited into the military as a mortar combat warrior and finished as a first sergeant commander after 2.8 years.
After finishing my service, I decided to take my first real journey abroad. I traveled for 7 months across Asia, most of the time solo but always meeting people along the way—many through CS. That trip opened my mind to new cultures, new ways of living, and gave me a much broader perspective on life.
When I returned to Israel, I moved out of my parents’ house and began building my independent adult life. For the past 2 years, I lived with 2 roomies, and as of August 2025 I’ve moved in with my partner :)
I worked as a barista for 1.5 years, so I’m really into coffee, and today I work as a personal assistant for a CEO who is teaching me how to live the life I want and not give up good opportunities to collect memories.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
CS is the best way to find people who can enlighten me.
I'm looking for people who can basically tell me what to do in their city/village and make my visit efficient so I won't waste my time wandering.
More deeply, I believe that people who use this platform have the same intention as mine — getting to know new people, new opinions, new stories, and thus creating a new, more developed version of themselves.
(Alternatively, I would knock on random people's doors and hope for the best)
Interests
After I have finished school I felt I'm missing a lot of an informal education so I started adding some using books. My current one is Tao Te Ching by Lao Dzeh and the previous one was Leviathan by Thomas Hobbes.
Also, in my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and chill, have some walks in different places, watch Netflix, listen to music, and spend some time with my Puddle dog named Lucas which I love very much.

Host me and you'll find out more! 😉
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm here to give what I can. I try to avoid materialism and give more of myself by offering help wherever I can through cooking, fixing some stuff, cleaning, creative thinking, and more.
I'm very open-minded :)
