Overview
About Me
Hey! I’m Surojit, a travel filmmaker exploring India’s hidden gems, especially rural areas. I believe “Rural India is the real India”, and I love capturing untold stories through my lens.
I’m currently on a long journey across India, documenting my experiences on my YouTube channel: Film by Surojit. I prefer slow travel, meeting locals, and understanding places beyond the usual tourist spots.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love connecting with people, sharing stories, and experiencing places through the eyes of locals. Hotels are nice, but real experiences come from people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled on India’s longest train journey, the Dibrugarh - Kanyakumari Vivek Express (4,233 km, ~80 hours), crossing 8 states from the northeast to the southernmost tip of the country. It was an unforgettable experience—watching landscapes change, meeting diverse people, and witnessing the true vastness of India from a single train window.
