Hi! My name is João, I'm 25 years old, from Portugal, but currently living in Lausanne, Switzerland

I joined the couchsurfing community when I did my first solo trip back in 2022, and now I think im addicted to it! I really like to meet people from other countries, experience other cultures and learn new perspectives from the friends I meet along the way.
In my free time, I really love hiking, skiing, reading and cooking!

Im currently doing a PhD in Evolutionary Biology and love to have deep talks about Science, Philosophy, Art, Politics, History and the Universe.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and new cultures. I feel that on a trip, meeting people along the way is what makes it perfect and memorable. Indeed, I believe that making new friends from other countries is ideal to broaden our horizons and go through impacting new experiences that make travelling such a fulfilling experience.

I have never couchsurfed before, but I believe I would love to join the CS community!
