(Je parle français)

My name is Laurence and I am from Québec. I'm currently starting my PhD in sociology. I am actively involved as an activist and researcher in feminist and LGBTQ+ associations and projects. I live a vegetarian lifestyle and have a keen interest in permaculture. I enjoy hiking, reading, practicing yoga, knitting, making pottery and playing board games.

I was lucky enough to be hosted by some incredible and caring people on my last trips. It’s a pleasure to give back and to host people in my own home. Unfortunately, the year 2025 will be marked by major changes for me, including a move to a new city. For this reason, it will not be possible for me to host for a good part of the year. It will be a pleasure to welcome people in my new environment as soon as possible!

Looking forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of traveling through sharing and exchanging, allowing you to meet new people and have an immersive experience in the places you visit. This is what motivated me to join Couchsurfing over several years ago!

Simplicity and the unexpected are at the heart of my lifestyle, especially when I travel, with my backpack and at the rhythm of the present moment, with my mind and heart turned towards inspiring encounters.

When I'm home, I want to give back to all the people who welcomed and helped me during my adventures by helping the community of travelers from everywhere. As a host, Couchsurfing allows me to feel the energy of travel while I'm at home, and to rediscover the city where I live.
