Exploring our world always puts me in a good mood. I get acquainted with different cultures, then share my experience with my relatives and friends. My mission is to break down stereotypes and intercultural misunderstandings.

I’m an exchange student from Russia who got a chance of a lifetime to study in the US for a year, explore this wonderful country!

I’m majoring in Public Policy and Analytics as I’m going to be an urbanist - a person who develops small towns and rural areas. I am originally from Saint-Petersburg - the cultural capital of Russia. Since 14 years I’ve been travelling across Russia with my friends. I visited different parts of Russia from Kaliningrad to Sakhalin Island, I really would love to share Russian culture.

It seems beyond my imagination to fulfill my childish dreams: to see the Pacific Ocean and to take a videoblog on Time Square, explore different parts of the US.

I've been doing speed skating for more than 7 years. Thus, I enjoy all kinds of sports activities like walking, hiking. By the way, I'm majoring in Phylology (it's a mix of literature and linguistics), so I love museums and art galleries so much!

One more interesting fact about me: a have a husky with eyes of different colors and a black cat that brings only luck!»

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We came to the US as cultural ambassadors and we want not only to represent our culture, but also get to know American culture. To my mind, Couchserfing provides an opportunity to meet great people and know more about real life in the US.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2020 I became a participant of the school of leaders as part of the Top-20 High School Students in St.Petersburg. I have also participated in the Model United Nations where I got the honor to represent the Climate Change resolution at the General Assembly.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to present Russian culture by cooking traditional dishes, telling interesting stories and giving little presents from Russia; also my friends and I study foreign languages(Spanish, French). Also, I adore exploring cities by walking and hiking as a future urbanist I pay attention to architecture and different infrustructure.

What I Can Share with Hosts

For my part, I want to show that Russia is more than Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, bears and severe winters. I would like to cook some Russian dishes and share traditional recipes, do my best to provide understanding between Americans and Russians.
