Hey, my name is Magdalena and I'm a 20 years old Austrian traveller. I'm currently on a big trip from Austria to Latin America just with my backpack – with little money, no fixed plans, not using any plane and not much comfort.
I travel to step outside my comfort zone, to experience life from new perspectives, and to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds.
I want to make a positive impact, help where help is needed, and contribute to peace in the world. I’m open to new experiences, curious, and always up for an adventure.
So this year, I want to gain as much experience as possible and experience the world in all its diversity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it's such a great experience to meet new poeple from all over the world. In just a few days, strangers can become your friends - that's something you never forget. You can learn a lot about different perspectives of life and different cultures.
I've met soo many amazing and inspiring people so far on my travels and looking forward to meet more!!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are soo many great and different music genres, but I would say I mostly like to listen to:
Rock and Pop from the older years (like 70s, 80s, 90s)
Bands like Bon Jovi, Halestorm, Aerosmith, Scorpions, Green Day, Queen, Cigarettes after Sex..

Aand I looove to read! Sometimes I'd like to read the whole day just because you can learn so much from the authors, from different experiences or just to escape the real world for a while.
If I had to choose my 3 favorite books, I would probably say:
- Mit 50€ um die Welt
- Astrid Lindgren
- Koriandergrün und Safranrot

Also, when I have time a good movie-night is a must-do sometimes.
The movies that have inspired me the most so far are:
- Into the wild
- True Spirit
- Good Will Hunting

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would say the craziest thing I've ever done in my life is this low budget trip I'm currently on. I want to get to Latin America without a plane and very little money, which means crossing the Atlantic ocean by boat and also lots of hitchhiking and stuff like that. :) I have a huge backpack with me with a tent and also a ukulele for some music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you German if you would like to! I also love learning about other cultures, cooking or singing and making music, we can do that togehter :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definetely tell you some funny travel stories or give you some advice for places to visit so that we have a nice evening together. For sure, I can also help you with some household chores like doing the dishes and I also like to cook.
If you have children or pets I would also love to play with them!!
