I'll start with where I currently am at. And that place is being totally lost, and trying to find the enjoyment in that space.

I used to travel a lot, yet everytime I went out, within a few months, home called me back. Whether it was for a checkup, a meeting, or helping my father at his farm. He died recently and me and my sister took over the place. We have no clue what we're doing but we're managing. And every day moving closer to harmony within myself and in being here, together, at home.

We have around 180 cows to take care of. I recently started a little (very little) garden of herbs which I am looking to expand, together with upgrading our garden (and cleaning a lot of junk on the whole farm) we're trying to make it not just livable but also truly enjoyable. To create an atmosphere where we, and anyone that stumbles upon this place can thrive. From that intention the idea came to make a little summer bar out of our garden. The idea is to create a space where people can simply be. Where they can cook together, drink together and anything that we come up with. I feel that to be my life mission as well, to bring people together. To create and hold space for bonds and connections to be created.

I've always seen Belgium and in particular flanders as a cold place, a place where individualism is at its peak. I used to run away, visit different countries, escape. Now my external environment forced me, finally, completely, and totally here in this place, at least for the next three years. I see it as a big opportunity. To release the energy of the past that made me want to escape, and to create the beauty and connection that I've discovered is possible while traveling, here at home.

Now this is where I am stuck. My mind comes up with such a beautiful vision, yet I'm not a good executioner. To those that know human design (I am just starting to learn) I'm a projector, not a manifestor nor a generator. I am not the best starter nor do-er. I am looking for people that can help bring this vision to life, basically. That's also how I imagine it. A place where everyone shares their own pieces and we co-create our vision, together.

While writing this I came to realize that's one of my fears, for this 3 years to pass and for me not having lived it up to my imagination.

The house is getting cleaned. Rooms are getting freed up again. If you pass by, you're more then welcome to stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It started as a way for me to get a cheap sleep and quickly turned into one of my favorite ways of traveling. Meeting new people, sharing stories, going on adventures 💫

I just love meeting a local and staying at their place, it makes me feel immediately at home in a city.

Now, it is to bring home the travel spirit. To learn, to grow, to create.
